What they say

Epic Geek + Gamer Gear.

Loot Crate™ delivers the best in geek + gaming gear. From collectibles, apparel, tech gadgets, art, and other epic gear, it’s like Comic-Con in a box!

On to my part

So a little about me, I am a proud fangirl. I love the geeky stuff. I read a ton of books. I love my music. I adore movies and obsess over TV shows. I am a pretty typical geek for these things. If you ever see any of my house in the background of review pictures and such you can easily spy the Doctor Who merchandise or the Supernatural decor. I have my walls covered in various items from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to Comic book images blown up on canvas. Add some Marilyn Monroe pop art and that is my “style”

The button that Little Dude claims every month.
The button that Little Dude claims every month.

So I like getting new stuff and Loot Crate fills that need each month. I have gotten some of my favorite items from them. Including a Voltron T-shirt that I rock with pride! My kids Big Dude and Little Dude enjoy the stuff too and there is always a little battle over who gets what. They have enjoyed the Hex Bug and Zelda Merch and My 10 year old has dibs on every button that Loot Crate sends.

So for my birthday The Dude wanted to knock it out of the park and ordered me a 2 year subscription to Loot Crate. Opps I had one already and he couldn’t cancel in time so in August we got two boxes. TWO!!! I mean I love them but I don’t need two. So We have decided to share the wealth with one of you.

And on to the good stuff. I received a discount on this product in exchange for my honest review. This what I really think, honestly.
cute!
cute!
So I wasn’t sure what to expect when I ordered these, but I thought they would be fun. When they arrived we opened them up and were actually a bit concerned. They are silicone and  so you cannot just grab them like a cup. I was envisioning wine/juice flying all over my house.
After washing, drying and filling them up, I wasn’t as concerned. The fluid inside exerts enough pressure on the cup to make it easy to hold., though I wouldn’t trust it in a little persons hands.
These are actually really fun and I can see the benefit of having a smooshable cup. We like to camp and picnic and stuff things in backpacks to take to the park. A flexible, unbreakable cup that doesn’t take up much space is kinda awesome. I see us getting a good amount of use out of these.
A little fun too!
A little fun too!
Because they are marketed as wine glasses, then the fact that these won’t work well with little hands should not be held against them. However they will be a difficult product for people who have trouble being careful which is sort of the demographic for a good portion of people that would look for unbreakable cups. So for that one the product gets a small ding.
We still put this in the do column though.
buh-bye now,
Domi
